Os alunos do sexto ano, na primeira parte pesquisaram o vocabulário relacionado ao tema. Na segunda parte, o vocabulário selecionado trouxe substantivos, adjetivos e alguns verbos e, em seguida, montaram frases usadas por pessoas apaixonadas, pesquisando e classificando as palavras novas. abordou-se o fato de que palavras possuem mais de um significado e função, utilizando dicionários virtuais para pesquisa.
(Today, the students received their projects on the theme Valentine´s Day and discussed the result with the teacher. They were able to learn new words and their use as nouns, adjectives and verbs. The teacher could also demonstrate that many words have more than one meaning and function.
To finish, students talked about their experience on how to use an English dictionary ( paper or on line ) and had more instructions about it.)
Os alunos do sétimo ano apresentaram seus projetos sobre Valentine´s day. Foram 2 propostas: 1) Leram um artigo sobre formas e datas diferentes para se comemorar o dia dos namorados ao redor do mundo. Eles receberam algumas frases sobre a forma de comemoração da data, o nome que o país usa e quando ela acontece. O objetivo foi descobrir a que pais cada frase se referia. 2) Após a leitura de um artigo, os alunos conferiram algumas frases dadas pela professora, checando se elas eram verdadeiras ou falsas, corrigindo estas últimas. Conclusão: Os alunos conversaram sobre suas descobertas e entenderam como é importante aprender e respeitar culturas diferentes.
(Today, the students presented the results of their projects about Valentine´s Day. There were two different proposals:
Students read an article about different ways and dates people celebrate " Valentine´s Day " around the world. They received some sentences describing how people celebrate it, how they name the date and when and needed to discover the name of the country.
Students received some sentences about Valentine´s day in different countries and had to check if they were true or false. If they were false, they needed to make the corrections. They also had an article to read.
Conclusion: The students talked about their discoveries on the topic and understood how important it is to learn about different Cultures.)
